Playwrights Horizons Resident Workshop

Hi all! I want to invite you to an upcoming workshop of my play GHOST LIFE (which I brought in to the group a few weeks ago). It will be part of the Playwrights Horizons Resident Workshop, directed by Resident Knud Adams. I'd love to have you there for your thoughts and feedback—the whole process is designed to allow me to gather criticism and work toward a second workshop production. The cast is wonderful--including the very talented Emily Davis and Kate Benson. Details below!

Who We Are: The Playwrights Horizons Residents are young theater artists working side by side with some of the top professionals in the American theater for a season, training for a career in the arts. Through competitive script selection and audition processes, the Residents have assembled a talented team of collaborators from the NYC theater community.

The Workshop Process: Playwrights Horizons has been dedicated to writers for 40 years, and we proudly honor that tradition with this project. Each new 30-minute play is being developed in preparation for a Round #1 performance on April 4th, followed by an additional three weeks of rewrites and continued rehearsal, culminating with Round #2 performances on April 25th. By putting scripts on their feet, working closely with playwrights to answer questions of staging and design with talented casts, the Residents hope to support and encourage the development of these three exciting new plays.

To RSVP: Email phresidents@gmail.com with your name and the number of spots you would like to reserve. We will only contact you if there is a problem with your reservation.
